Welcome back to all the hard-working teachers and support staff at FCPS and FCC. Thank you for making such a positive impact on the lives of so many students.
FERKO HAS CHECKING ACCOUNTS
Yes, FERKO offers checking accounts with no monthly fees. You will also receive your first box of checks for free and a Mastercard Debit/ATM card. There are many surcharge-free ATM locations in our network nationwide like WAWA, Sheetz, 7-Eleven and Costco just to name a few. Several mobile apps like Venmo, Zelle and PayPal can be linked to your checking account. An initial deposit of $100 is required to get started and then you only need to keep a $5 minimum balance.
NOW IS THE TIME TO START A HOLIDAY ACCOUNT
Can you use some extra money for holiday shopping and less stress? Stop by FERKO to open a holiday account. We can take the money directly from your FCPS or FCC paycheck for each pay period and deposit it into your holiday account. Holiday Club checks for current members with holiday accounts were mailed on October 2, 2026, and the account will automatically reopen with your next payroll deposit. You can also make cash and check deposits to your Holiday Account.
WHO IS YOUR BENEFICIARY?
Do you still have your ex-wife or ex-husband listed as your beneficiary on your FERKO account? Please call us or stop by our office to verify and/or update your beneficiary in person.
SPECIAL CHRISTMAS EVE AND NEW YEAR’S EVE HOURS
Our office will be open from 9:00am – 12:00pm on December 24th, 2026 (Christmas Eve) and December 31st, 2026 (New Year’s Eve). We will be closed on December 25th, 2026 (Christmas Day) and January 1, 2027 (New Year’s Day).
COLORING CONTEST FOR KIDS
Our annual kids holiday coloring contest is right around the corner. Stop by our office to pick up a picture for your kids or grandkids to color or email tkent.ferko@comcast.net to receive a copy by email. Cash prizes and gifts will be awarded to the winning entries.
FUN FACT
The first $2 bills were printed in 1862 to help finance the Civil War. In older times the $2 bill was viewed as “Bad Luck” and people would tear off the corners of the bills to “Reverse the Curse”. Today the $2 bill is considered “Good Luck” and is said to attract prosperity and financial protection.
